Abstract

Behavioral Finance and its Impact on Individual Financial Decisions: A Field Study in a Number of Private Banks in Baghdad

Abstract:

The study mainly aims to determine the impact of behavioral finance with its five dimensions on individual financial decisions at the level of private banks in Baghdad and based on a major problem diagnosed with several questions and the extent of realizing the influencing and interactive relationships between the variables. The questionnaire was used as a main tool in collecting, analyzing and interpreting the data and information of the study, and the sample consisted of (165) questionnaires distributed to customers of a number of private banks in Baghdad. SPSS V.24) The study reached many conclusions, the most important of which was that the customers of private banks showed interest in individual financial decisions, so they sought to improve them through behavioral finance in general, employing inference, and aversion to loss in particular, as well as employing it aversion to loss in improving investment, and inference in improving the level of individual hoarding However, it relied on high confidence, aversion to loss, reasoning, and herd behavior in improving their savings level, but it was unable to employ behavioral finance and any of its dimensions in improving the level of consumption. The study resulted in a set of proposals, the most important of which is. Conducting a study on the impact of technological technologies and the need for their availability in Iraq and their impact on the decisions of individuals
