EFFECT OF MENTAL SKILLS TRAINING ON SOCCER PLAYERS' COPING SKILLS

Abstract:

The objective of this study was to analyze the effect of mental skills training on the coping skills of football players. A sample of 20 male football players aged 18 to 24 years was purposively selected from LNIPE, NERC Guwahati and all the subjects were randomly divided into two groups, each group consisting of 10 subjects. The treatment group was given mental skills training 03 times a week for a period of 10 weeks, while the control group was not allowed to participate in any training program apart from their daily routine.
