Abstract:
The present article is about the importance of lifelong learning for professional development. Lifelong learning has its own identity in national and international societies. Basically, Lifelong Learning is all about acquiring abilities, skills, knowledge and understanding from the early childhood stage to the post retirement stage. Lifelong learning is very much related to the professional development. The paper deals with the following objectives. 1. To study the status of lifelong learning skills/Programmes for professional development. 2. To develop the relationship between lifelong learning and professional growth in education. In addition to it, the paper talks about the various professional development models and relationship between lifelong learning and professional development. In other words, how lifelong learning enhances professional development.
