Abstract:

Oil is considered as the most important mineral resources of Iraq. Iraq is ranked third in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in terms of oil reserves, where the reserve is estimated at (115 billion barrels) in 2013, and it ranks eighth among the countries of the Organization in terms of gas reserves. It exported more than 4.632 million barrels per day in 2016. The oil sector suffers from negligence due to the absence of a digital electronic administration that manages and regulates its work according to a central control system that monitors the production and counts and organizes the exportation according to a programming and a central system structured with spatial information in points, maps and daily reports. Therefore, we will simulate the data in the map model through a huge database that gather the promising potentialities of oil wealth for the purposes of spatial development and building a database with GIS programs easy to update and add to them in future stages, utilizing the sensor data the satellite data, as well as constructing a model of geographic database and drawing the digital maps by the GIS programs.
